Happy Thanksgiving, friends! Today I have an unanalyzed document dump for you. There’s a lot of fabulous material here, and I’ll be writing about much of it over¹ the next few days. For now, though, there’s just a bare inventory, which you can find directly after the break.

• 2011-2016 emails between CD11 and Clerk’s office about VBBID — There is some immensely important stuff here. Debbie Dyner Harris wanted the City to have a voting seat on the board of the BID but the City Attorney said no, it’s a conflict, also CD11 transfers actual cash to its BIDs, and there is much more. At least three forthcoming posts on this material, but I wanted to get it before you as soon as possible.
• October 2016 Emails between Central City East Association Staff and the City — Again, there is much interesting stuff here. Especially relations between CCEA and LA Sanitation regarding encampment cleanup, but much else besides. At least two posts coming out of this.
• City of Los Angeles Supplemental Brief Regarding Class Certification — This was filed on Monday in the case of Chua v. City of Los Angeles. The City doesn’t seem to dispute that a class action is called for, but rather only that people associated with the National Lawyers Guild aren’t representative of the appropriate class. Interesting.
• Emails between Carol Schatz and LAPD Officer Mike Oreb — wherein Carol Schatz screams: I’VE HAD ENOUGH!!!! WE NEED MORE COPS ON THE STREET!! NOW!!!!!!
